Membership Professional Development Scholarship

The ARMA Metro NYC-LI Chapter offers annual scholarships to chapter members for reimbursement of qualified expenses that further professional development in the field of information governance and records management. Qualified costs include reimbursement of certification testing fees, application expenses for those pursuing certification, such as study materials and courses directly related to an ARMA, ICRM, or IAPP certification. 

The Metro NYC-LI Board of Directors is committed to supporting and investing in its members and believes this scholarship award will encourage members to pursue and/or maintain professional certifications in the RIM and IG fields. 

Application deadline is June 30. Applications received by this date will be reviewed by the Board and scholarships will be announced on or around September. 

Terms and Conditions 

1. DESCRIPTION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP  

Scholarship awards are available to ARMA Metro NYC-LI Chapter members who have incurred expenses towards certification, application, or continuing education. 

The ARMA Metro NYC-LI Board of Directors will disburse up to $500 to each eligible applicant. Up to four eligible applicants may be awarded scholarships. 

2. GUIDELINES 

You must be a current member in good standing with the ARMA Metro NYC-LI Chapter. A current member is a Professional Member of ARMA International who also a member of the ARMA Metro NYC-LI Chapter. 

Qualified expenses are those that the member has incurred and paid for between July 1st, 2024  and June 30th, 2025. 

To be considered, email [email protected] with the subject line “Professional Development Scholarship.” You will receive an application form to complete, and be asked to provide receipts of eligible expenses including the following: 

  • Evidence of registration 

  • Payment receipts 

  • Evidence of exam completion 

 Only fully completed applications with proper supporting documentation are eligible. Awards will be based on qualifying fees paid and number of qualified applications received. 

3. CONDITIONS OF BEING GRANTED A SCHOLARSHIP AWARD 

The ARMA Metro NYC-LI Board of Directors will confirm membership status with ARMA International. 

The ARMA Metro NYC-LI Board of Directors will verify application is fully completed and expenses incurred relate to certification, application or continuing education credits related to the field of information and records management. 

ARMA Metro NYC-LI Chapter retains the right to use your name and/or any photographs taken and/or provided by the recipient to promote and publicize this scholarship program and or Chapter activities.
