    Document Scanning: The business needs for quality control in scanning of documents and best practices.

    Presented by Fred Grevin, Records Management consultant for the Teachers' Retirement System of the City of New York. 

    Fred Grevin is currently serving as a Records Management consultant for the Teachers' Retirement System of the City of New York, where he has helped develop the agency's records management program and is now participating in the development of policies and procedures for the agency's migration to a new, mission-critical pension management system. Prior to consulting with the Teachers' Retirement System of the City of New York, Fred was Vice President, Records Management for the New York City Economic Development Corporation, responsible for developing corporate strategies and policies for records management and, in particular, the management of electronic records. Fred also teaches a course in Digital Preservation at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies at Queens College, City University of New York. In the past he has taught records management, reprographic technologies and digital asset management courses at various educational institutions in New York. Fred is a Participating Member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG), which develops and coordinates the U.S. position on Document Management Applications standards developed under the auspices of Technical Committee 171 of the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO). Fred is a member of ARMA International, the Archivists Round Table of New York City, the Computer Society of the IEEE (formerly the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), and Associate Member of the French Fédération Nationale des Tiers de Confiance (Federation of Trusted Third Patries).
