    Newsletter Introduction

    Dear Readers:

As I write this column, spring is just around the corner. One of the significant events held by the Chapter and its sister Chapters on the cusp of spring is the All-Day Educational Event. This year the focus is "RIM and IG for Today and Tomorrow." Besides the high quality presenters (Bill Saffady, anyone?), participants will enjoy the diverse subject matter that is covered. Visit the conference website for more information: armanyc.com/2017_Spring_Conference

In this issue, the featured article focuses on the top five trends in information management in 2017. I have also chosen to re-run a popular short-take from a prior issue that addresses the question, "Is ECM needed for effective information governance?" This, of course, would only be one of the needed components. (You can see that I would answer "yes" to this question!)

Looking ahead, the video series featuring an IG Practitioner discussing standing up an IG Program at her company will resume in the next issue. The topic will be the challenges associated with the process and how they were addressed.

As always, I welcome your feedback. Please also contact me if you are interested in contribuing content to exchange.

    Jen Best,

    Editor-In-Chief, exchange (NewsletterVP@armanyc.org)
